today is the anniversary of the last military intervention in turkey (1980)

yes we have a history full of those but this one is different...they didnt only kill thousands of students, yes most of them between the ages of 16-20, for being politically active, for printing fliers, for painting walls, for having meetings...books were burned...peoples brains were washed...our values were replaced by consumerism, opportunism, patronage and selfishness...

when I search for an English source about this i come across: "The performance of the Turkish economy improved significantly in the first two years after the military intervention." that is disgusting and disrespectful to the people who suffered and are still suffering...

the military intervention resulted in Turkish people stopping to read, to think, to discuss anything political or non political...yes that is why things are chaotic in turkey, that is why nothing works properly in my country, no body does their job, nobody respects each other, nobody tries to contribute....the only reason the economy improved significantly is that people had to replace a meaningful life with expensive clothes, new cars, imported drinks and smokes...

Him and his soldiers killed hope in this country, we need him to understand what he did, to recognize the horribleness of what he has done and to apologize for the lives of all the smart, educated, young people that were only full of love and hope
